    Wong overcame initial internal resistance to offer online groceries and championed the importance of keeping pace with changing customer dynamics.

    According to Wong, if FairPrice failed to invest in online capabilities, competitors would expand and take market share away from the business.

    Wong led a significant innovation strategy which has seen the business report consecutive yearly profitability improvements, in addition to increasing market share and becoming the no.2 online grocery platform in Singapore.

    Through FairPrice On - an e-commerce portal - Singaporeans can shop for a wide range of household needs, from fresh produce to quality wines, and home care essentials to baby products.

    FairPrice On now caters to over 400,000 subscribers offering a hassle-free online shopping experience, accessible through computers, tablets and mobile phones.

    Wong is also pioneering efforts to consolidate data and information to enhance customer personalisation, in response to more than 60 per cent of transactions being made through smartphones.
